Industrial Equipment Base Fabrication

A weak base leads to strong problems.
Millwright Services / Industrial Equipment Base Fabrication
When rotating equipment vibrates, drifts out of alignment, or fails under load, nine times out of ten, the issue starts below the bolt pattern.

That’s why Tillson Industrial designs, fabricates, and installs custom equipment bases built to match the exact specs of your systems—with the precision and durability required to keep your operation running right.

What We Do

Industrial Equipment Base Fabrication

Tillson Industrial fabricates heavy-duty steel bases, structural skids, and custom platforms for all types of fixed industrial equipment. Whether you’re installing new pumps, retrofitting a compressor, or rebuilding a turbine foundation, we provide the fabricated base that gets it done right the first time.

We fabricate:

  • Motor and pump bases
  • Compressor and turbine foundations
  • Skids for multi-equipment systems
  • Bolt-together or modular platforms
  • Anchor bolt templates and grout frames
  • Custom pedestals and risers

Every base is built to your layout, your load requirements, and your timeline. We fabricate to spec, not to shortcuts.

Why It Matters

The base is the beginning of reliability. If your equipment is mounted on an out-of-level, under-built, or mismatched base, you’re inviting trouble. Flexing frames, misaligned shafts, sheared anchors, cracked grout—these are the predictable outcomes of poor foundation work.

Improper bases lead to:

  • Chronic vibration and alignment drift
  • Repeated bearing and seal failures
  • Bolt and grout degradation
  • Costly shutdowns, rework, and long-term maintenance cycles

Properly fabricated and installed bases:

  • Reduce vibration and energy loss
  • Support accurate shaft alignment
  • Extend equipment life
  • Simplify future maintenance and changeouts

We don’t just build bases—we build performance platforms.

How We Get It Done

Industrial Equipment Base Fabrication

1. Site Review or Drawing Evaluation
We evaluate your equipment specs, jobsite conditions, existing layout, and support requirements. Whether you’re replacing a damaged base or starting fresh, we design to fit your actual operating environment.

2. Base Design & Material Selection
Based on your needs, we fabricate using steel plate, W-beam, structural tube, or channel frames. We account for thermal expansion, lift points, grout cavities, and footprint constraints.

3. Precision Fabrication
We drill and tap anchor patterns, weld lifting lugs, and machine surfaces for motor pads and coupling clearance. Need drain ports, vibration isolators, or gusset reinforcement? We add them at the shop.

4. Finishing & Delivery
We prep and finish each base per your coating spec—painted, primed, bare, or galvanized. Bases are shipped directly to site or staged with our install crew for seamless integration.

5. Optional Installation
If needed, we’ll handle installation, leveling, anchor bolt setting, epoxy grouting, and laser alignment to get your equipment placed and performance-ready—turnkey.

Industrial Base Repair & Retrofit

Not every base needs a full rebuild. We also repair, regrout, or retrofit existing foundations if structural integrity allows. If your current base is cracked, corroded, or failing—but not beyond recovery—we’ll evaluate it and recommend repair or replacement.

You’ll know exactly what you’re working with before you spend a dollar.

Where We Work

We fabricate and ship custom bases for:

Whether it’s a 5-horsepower pump or a 50-ton compressor, we build the base to match the load—and the environment.

The Tillson Difference

Most equipment problems trace back to the base. At Tillson, we make sure that’s never the case. Our millwright-led fabrication team delivers bases that are true, tough, and ready to support years of service—without rework, regrets, or re-installs.

If it’s worth mounting, it’s worth mounting right. Call Tillson when your foundation matters as much as your equipment.
