Industrial Pump Services

When the pump goes down, so does your plant.
Millwright Services / Industrial Pump Services
Seal leaks, vibration, or alignment drift may start small—but if left unchecked, they take out production, profitability, and every system downstream.

At Tillson Industrial, we deliver full-scope mechanical pump services—diagnosing, overhauling, aligning, and reinstalling pumps to restore reliability and maximize runtime.

What We Do

We specialize in the mechanical service of industrial pumps—field or shop. Whether your issue is a failing seal, cavitation damage, or a complete performance breakdown, we handle the mechanical scope from inspection to reinstallation.

We service:

  • ANSI & API end-suction pumps
  • Multistage and vertical turbine pumps
  • Slurry and chemical pumps
  • Gear, diaphragm, and progressive cavity pumps
  • Skid-mounted systems and custom base packages

We rebuild pumps to OEM spec—or better. If your pump is worth saving, we’ll bring it back. If it’s not, we’ll help you make the call and install the replacement.

Why It Matters

Pumps are the heartbeat of your plant. If they go down, your system grinds to a halt. And while electrical issues get the headlines, it’s mechanical wear that causes the majority of pump failures.

Common problems we solve:

  • Seal leaks and bearing failure
  • Shaft misalignment and excessive vibration
  • Cavitation and impeller damage
  • Cracked bases or grouting issues
  • Repeat shutdowns and rising maintenance costs

Proper pump repair isn’t just a swap-and-go job. It’s about diagnosing the root cause, rebuilding to spec, and reinstalling with precision so it doesn’t fail again.

Top Customer Questions

We hear these on every job—and we’re ready to answer them with clarity and confidence:

  • What’s wrong with my pump?
  • Can it be repaired, or do I need a replacement?
  • How long will it take?
  • What’s the cost?
  • Do you provide documentation or reports?
  • Will this fix the root problem—or just the symptoms?
  • Can you support onsite work, shop rebuild, or both?
  • Do you work with our brand/model? (Goulds, Flowserve, Sulzer, Peerless, ITT, Gorman-Rupp, etc.)
  • Can you pick up and return the unit?
  • Do you offer warranty or post-installation support?

We’re not here to push parts—we’re here to make sure your system works.

How We Get It Done

1. Inspection & Diagnosis
We perform vibration analysis, seal and bearing checks, and visual diagnostics to identify wear patterns and failure points. If necessary, we confirm pipe strain, base condition, or alignment issues.

2. Disassembly & Cleanout
We remove impellers, sleeves, seals, and bearings, inspecting each for wear or damage. All mechanical surfaces are cleaned and prepped for rebuild.

3. Repair or Replacement
We install new OEM or approved equivalent components: seals, bearings, impellers, sleeves, shafts, and gaskets. If machining or fabrication is needed, we handle it in-shop.

4. Rebuild & Reassemble
We balance impellers, reset internal clearances, and verify mechanical fits to meet OEM tolerance. Whether it’s a single-stage or a vertical multistage, we return it to true form.

5. Reinstallation & Alignment
We reinstall the pump in the field, laser-align the shaft to the driver (motor or turbine), and verify DBSE and soft foot. Grout and anchor repairs are completed as needed.

6. Final Verification & Support
You get documentation of all work completed—alignment reports, component lists, and any recommendations. We also remain available for startup support and post-install checks.

Where We Work

Tillson supports industrial pump systems in:

Whether it’s a single-stage ANSI pump or a complex chemical skid, we get your flow back—fast, and for the long haul.

The Tillson Standard

We don’t do “good enough.” We do what it takes to make it last. Our pump crews combine field know-how with shop-level precision. We don’t just replace parts—we solve the problem. Because a rebuilt pump that fails again wasn’t fixed. It was just reassembled.

Call Tillson when uptime isn’t optional. We’ll keep your systems pumping.
